The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the suspended South-West zonal coordinator of the women’s wing of the City Boy Movement, over alleged fraud.

EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed on Saturday that Tejuosho was arrested on September 8 and remains in the commission’s custody.

The 41-year-old was declared wanted by the EFCC in April over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.

The commission had said Tejuosho was being investigated over allegations that she collected money from individuals after promising to secure federal government appointments and lucrative contracts for them.

According to the EFCC, the alleged scheme involved the use of fake appointment letters and forged documents to convince victims that she had access to government appointments and contracts.

Tejuosho, who founded Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was first questioned by the commission in June 2025 following complaints relating to the alleged appointment and contract scam. She was subsequently granted administrative bail while investigations continued.

Following her declaration as wanted in April, the City Boy Movement suspended her as its South-West zonal coordinator of the women’s wing.

The group said the suspension was an administrative measure intended to protect its image and credibility while allowing the investigation to proceed without interference.

The City Boy Movement is a political advocacy group that supports President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda.
