Chef Hilda Baci has been slapped with legal action by the management of an Abuja restaurant called Vibe By Ann’s for allegedly breaching a signed agreement.

According to reports, the restaurant and Baci agreed to hold a “Meet and Greet” event for her fans.

A widely circulated flyer that surfaced online showed that Baci charged N25,000 for private meet-ups, live cooking, and cuisine tasting in Abuja on June 24, 2023 at Vibe by Ann’s restaurant.

Hilda took to her social media account to clarify that she was not having any “meet and greet” event and that she “would never ask anyone to pay for such.”

The restaurant’s management, however, issued a statement in response to her denial noting that the highly anticipated session scheduled to hold on June 24 has been cancelled, adding that they deeply apologise for whatever inconvenience it may have caused their customers.

The management further pointed out on the receipt for the N3m paid to Baci that arrangements for the session had been done, “as both parties agreed to put out publications for the event after an advance payment was made to Miss Hilda Bassey.”

They added that due to Hilda’s public denial of the session, their brand’s image has been jeopardised.

As a result, they are commencing all required legal actions to make sure that the situation is resolved justly.
