Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), has been reappointed as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) by the Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
This was contained in a Wednesday statement from the Force Public Relations Department and signed by its Admin Officer, SP Anjuguri Jesse Manza.
ACP Adejobi who is no doubt perfect for the role demonstrated his expertise and commitment to the job of Public Relations Officer in the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) as he diligently delivered in his previous roles as
i. Ogun State Command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) from 2008 – 2016
ii. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, in 2016
iii. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Lagos State Police Command between September, 2020 and August, 2021.
iv. Deputy Force Public Relations Officer (DFPRO) Force Headquarters, Abuja in 2021; and was very recently appointed the Force Public Relations Officer before his reappointment.
Adejobi who holds a Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ibadan (UI) is a member of several professional bodies and associations including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR); International Public Relations Association (IPRA); Pointman Leadership Institute, USA; International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), USA; and the Institute of Corporate Administration, Nigeria amongst others.
Ag.IGP Egbetokun has charged ACP Adejobi to consolidate his achievements, particularly in entrenching citizen-focused public relations through the media and other specialized community engagements.
