A Davido fan who went viral for cycling from Benue to Lagos to meet his idol has finally arrived at his destination.

Emmanuel Myam, also known as Emmiwuks, set off on his journey on August 3 and arrived in Lagos on Friday, August 18. He was surprisingly greeted with a hero’s welcome by a throng of fans and some Tiv indegenes living in the state who cheered and chanted his name as he rode through the streets.

Emmiwuks told reporters that he was inspired to make the journey after Davido’s song “A Better Time” helped him through a difficult time in his life. He said he wanted to meet Davido in person to thank him for his music and to show his support.

Notably, Emmiwuks’ journey has been met with both praise and knocks. While some called his feat an inspiration, others have described it as a mere waste of time and energy.
