It was only five hours after Samantha Hutchinson 34, and Aric Hutchinson, 36, were joined together as man and wife when tragedy struck. Only minutes after they left their wedding reception, a drunk driver rammed into their vehicle killing the bride instantly and the groom left fighting for his life.

The South Carolina natives had been driving in a golf buggy and as they drove off at about 10pm on Friday beaming from ear to ear, the collision happened suddenly.
“Aric lost the love of his life when my new daughter-in-law ‘Sam’ was tragically killed by a drunk driver moments after the picture above while leaving her wedding reception on April 28th. I was handed Aric’s wedding ring in a plastic bag at the hospital, five hours after Sam placed it on his finger and they read each other their vows,” Aric’s grieving mother wrote on a GoFundMe page, which identified the couple as victims of the collision.
The driver of the car, Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, was arrested and charged with DUI involving death and reckless homicide.

Komoroski’s blood results are pending, but an investigation into the crash determined she was driving 65 mph when she struck the golf cart, police said
Also injured in the accident were two of the groom’s relatives who were escorting the couple.
