Eedris Abdulkareem thanks Nigerians in song after successful kidney transplant

Rapper Eedris Abdulkareem’s latest single has left many Nigerians emotional.

The single which he dedicated to his wife, Sekinat Yetunde and titled after her, chronicles his recent health challenges, about how he was diagnosed with kidney failure and how his wife came to his rescue by deciding to donate one of her kidneys to him.

A purely appreciation song, laced with well written lyrics with rhymes on every line, Abdulkareem, a one-time member of the very popular 90’s group, Remedies and the “Nigeria Jagajaga” crooner also used the opportunity to thank Nigerians who in one way or the other contributed to the success of his surgery.

He went as far as mentioning names of contributors like Chief Allen Onyema, E-Money, Chief Chidi Nwanyanwu, Omoyele Sowore, Dede Mabiaku, Keke Ogungbe, Shola Kuti, Efe Omoregbe, Eddy Lawani, Tunde Ednut and St Nicholas Hospital where the transplant had taken place.

Since it’s release on Saturday, many who have listened to it have described it as not just heartwarming but also very catchy and relatable.

Abdulkareem’s wife on the other hand has received countless accolades for giving life back to her husband after he was down with the ailment last year.
