EFCC arrests convicted ex-power minister Saleh Mamman in Kaduna

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, following his conviction and sentencing by the Federal High Court in Abuja over financial misappropriation.

According to reports by Channels Television, EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, confirmed that Mamman was arrested in Kaduna at about 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Olukoyede disclosed that the former minister was apprehended alongside two other individuals allegedly shielding him from arrest.

The EFCC boss further revealed that the residence where Mamman was arrested is now under investigation as part of ongoing efforts linked to the case.

Mamman, who served as Minister of Power under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, had recently been convicted by the Federal High Court, Abuja, over allegations bordering on financial misconduct.
