The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has debunked reports circulating on social media claiming that he endorsed Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Senator Ishaku Abbo.
Wike, through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, said he had no relationship with the Labour Party or any of its candidates in Adamawa State.
A social media post had attributed comments to the minister, urging Adamawa residents to make informed decisions at the polls and describing Abbo as the most suitable candidate to lead the state.
However, Wike dismissed the report as fake, insisting that he had neither endorsed Abbo nor declared support for any LP candidate in the state.
He urged the people of Adamawa to disregard the report, adding that he would personally announce his preferred candidate whenever he decides to declare his support.
