The case of Lagos-based former lovers, Sunshine Edafa and Pascal Offiah has been described as ‘a love gone wrong’. The Police in the state are now trying to find evidence to nail one of the parties.
As the story goes, 30 years old Edafa had been in what she thought was a ‘love’ relationship with Offiah until she discovered that he was married. As the saying goes, ‘Hell has no furry as a woman scorned’.
Edafa felt scorned and planned a revenge. She asked Offiah to settle her by buying a house and a Sports Utility Vehicle for her or she was going to destroy his marriage by calling his wife and telling her everything about their relationship and would also go as far as exposing him on social media.
Offiah probably called her bluff and Edafa made good her threat.
Bruised, Offiah ran to the Police at the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID) Alagbon to report the case, he alleged that she had threatened further to expose him with “false information”. Well, she was subsequently arrested and during investigations, the unrepentant lady kept demanding for the same things. She was found culpable.
Edafa was arraigned at the Yaba Magistrate court recently and the Prosecutor, officer Rita Momoh said she was charged with all of the offence narrated to the court. But Edafa pleaded not guilty to every count.
Momoh however asked the Presiding Magistrate, Adeola Olatubosun to give a date for the hearing while the police, continue with their investigations.
Magistrate Olatunbosun granting the wish, adjourned the case to September 17 for mention while the accused was granted bail with conditions.
