Family and friends could not hold back tears during the burial of Augustine Somuadina Ali, a 30-year-old man who was killed three days after he got his long anticipated study visa to travel to the UK for a post graduate programme.
Somuadina, who goes by the nick name Italian Millano, was buried amid tears, on Friday, at his home in Umuochi Ugwu, Orji Amokwe, Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The deceased who on June 2, informed his family and friends that he was en route to his village, was found dead and dumped along the road, hours later, same day.
His murderers did not ask for ransom or give a clue, as to why the Enugu State University and Technology (ESUT) graduate was gruesomely murdered.
One Comrade Amobichukwu Edeani, a friend of the deceased while paying tribute from his base in the UK said he went through the hurdles of securing the deceased admission, so his friend can join him in the UK.
While noting that the news of Somuadina departure has left him in shock, Edeani also revealed the deceased who was given admission to study Food Science and Biotechnology, at MSc level at Teesside University, Middlesbrough, had completely paid his tuition fee of £5,000.
The bereaved Edeani swore it will never be well with the murderers of Somuadina, whom he described as his good friend from their undergraduate days.
