In 2014, retired undefeated heavyweight boxing champion, Floyd Mayweather made a claim that he witnessed the murder of Tupac Shakur. In a video that resurfaced on social media on Thursday, Mayweather can be seen telling the tale that he saw the shooting happen from his apartment across the street.

“The car pulled up and shot Tupac,” Mayweather said while walking the streets of Las Vegas with some company, pointing to the exact situation he saw. “Car pulled right here and shot Tupac at this light. Car went that way. I was living right here in 1996 when Tupac got killed. Right here – I ain’t never told nobody. Only the close people with me know.”

Mayweather’s claim has not been corroborated by any other witnesses, and he has never provided any further details about what he saw. However, his claim has reignited speculation about the unsolved riddle of the superstar’s.

Some people believe that Mayweather’s claim is credible, while others believe that he is simply trying to make headlines. A few even said that it is possible that Mayweather did see the shooting, but it is also possible that he is mistaken or that he is making up the story.
