Controversial online media personality, Nedu, has discussed how rumours that he is misogynistic cost him a multimillion-naira endorsement contract.

On the most recent episode of the audiovisual podcast “The Honest Bunch”, which he, Husband Material, and Deity Cole co-host, the comedian made this revelation.

“I almost signed an endorsement three weeks ago, but I lost it,” he said.

He admitted that he was not in a foul mood. He said he did not feel horrible for a bit, but he snapped.

He added that the brand, a beverage brand, noted that if there was a narrative of how he hates women, it simply means their female audience might not accept it, causing him to lose the deal.

Nedu condemned the “double standard” of those who criticised him for adoring women excessively in his skits but then said he promoted hatred of women on his podcast.
