Nigerian student stabbed to death while fighting in Canada

Ifeanyichukwu Oseke, a 28-year-old Nigerian who travelled to Canada for studies, has lost his life while fighting.

It was gathered that Oseke who engaged in a fight with a yet to be identified man was stabbed during the fight, leading to his death.

After the Sunday incident which happened outside a mall at Eglinton Avenue area, Scarborough, Canada, the assailant has been on the run.

Reporting the incident on Wednesday, CBC said Toronto police were called to the scene at about 7p.m. same day.

Speaking on the unfortunate incident, a Deputy Inspector of Police, Jeff Bangild said the police was called and informed that two were fighting within the plaza premises and one used a weapon to stab the other.

He said on police arrival, Oseke was found with stab wounds and rushed via emergency route to a nearby trauma centre, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Though he did not mention names, Bangild revealed that the police has begun manhunt for the suspect, who is male, has medium-length dark, was last seen wearing a light-coloured tank top, pants and shoes, getting into a dark-coloured sedan car and travelling south on Brimley Road from Eglinton Avenue East.
