Nude photos: Residents slam Lagos police PRO for giving ‘inappropriate’ advice

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin, has advised residents on steps to take when sending nude pictures.

In a tweet on Wednesday, the police spokesperson cautioned that the sender should take some precautionary measures.

Hear him: “If you must send nudes, at least do one-view or cover your face or any other identification mark. And do not forget that video calls can be screen shot/recorded.

“For others, it is a clandestine recording of their intimate moments, of course without consent.

“I have honestly lost count of people, sometimes notable ones, approaching me about someone somewhere blackmailing and extorting them with their nudes.

“Trust no one. Take adequate precautions. Trust your instincts too. And do not forget to reach incb.npf.gov.ng in the unfortunate event you fall victim of this. 🤗🤗”

However, the image maker was verbally attacked by some who felt his post is inappropriate.

One @Ikechukwu_ nwakpa said: “Instead of oga to advice aganist such, e say make them cover their face, when some one can edit the sent photo. Take my advice, don’t do nude photo, don’t do anything nude at all not even for your own pleasure.

@SimonOthuks chipped in that “Great advice! But I would prefer you caution everyone against such stupidity😎🤕😱😡!”

@Liverpoolboy also disagreed with the post as he said: “Must u record sex scenes or nudes?
Prevention is always better.”

While @intrepidatrio2 said that: “I strongly advise against anybody taking this advice of @BenHundeyin on sending nudes. Any sane person should avoid taking nude pics of themselves for the sole purpose of sending them to someone else”.
