The Lagos State Police Command has exhumed the body of Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, for an autopsy.
This comes after the singer’s family and fans demanded a thorough investigation into his death, which occurred on September 12.
The new development was announced by the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, on Thursday, September 21 on his X handle.
“Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence. #JusticeForMohbad #Justice4Mohbad”, the police image maker wrote.
MohBad’s death was initially reported to have been caused by a drug overdose, but his family and fans raised doubts about this, alleging that he was assaulted by his record label, Marlian Music. The police initially said that there was no evidence of foul play in MohBad’s death, but they later announced that they would exhume his body for an autopsy.
Fans and family members of MohBad called for justice to be served in this case and demanded that the police conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into his death, stressing that anyone found culpable should be brought to justice.
