Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has made history by breaking King Sunny Ade’s 41-year-old record as the Nigerian artist with the longest-running album on the U.S. Billboard chart.
King Sunny Ade set the record with his critically-acclaimed album, “Juju Music” in 1982, 18 years before Rema was born.
Rema’s album, “Rave & Roses,” debuted on the chart in early 2023 and has remained on the chart for 30 weeks, surpassing King Sunny Ade’s record of 29 weeks.
The young artist has been making waves in the music industry since his debut EP in 2019.
