Ordu who is originally from from Oshimil North Local Government Area of Delta State however denied being the arrowhead behind the robbery but said that he only decided to take part in the robbery with two others now at large, because he was unfairly treated by the owner of the Petrol station.

Telling his own side of event that happened, Ordu said that after he had a heated quarrel with his boss, he swore vengeance after he refused to pay him his one month salary worth N80,000.

Hear him: “I have been working at the petrol filling station for about three years. Towards the end of last July, I beat up a girl who was a petrol attendant at the station.

“My director suspended me and refused to pay me that month. Even when I sent text messages to beg him, he didn’t respond. The next thing I heard was that he had travelled abroad. That is what gave me the mind to do that act.

“I sent some people to go and rob the station. I told them not to kill anybody, but unfortunately, they killed my co-supervisor in the process.

“I told them when BEDC turn off the light, the supervisor will come out to turn on the generator. I told them to track him and collect the money immediately. I told them not to go beyond the generator house because armed policemen guiding the station are there.” He explained.

Ordu who was later arrested in Lagos went ahead to say that he and his cohort shared the money that night, inside an uncompleted building near the petrol station. He admitted getting over N4 million out of the N6.8 million proceeds of the robbery and bought an unregistered Toyota Sienna van with it.

SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the State’s Police Spokesperson, said his officers are on the heels of the other suspects. Ordu, he further revealed would be charged to court soon.
