Popular celebrity, Charly Boy has lambasted former Kaduna state governor, Nasir el-Rufai, over a controversial religious comment he made.
In a now viral video, el-Rufai stated that he and some other northern governors had leveraged religion as a political tool to help Bola Tinubu win the 2023 presidential election.
He claimed that the choice to use religion as a political tactic was made in an effort to address the problem of tribalism and religion in Nigerian politics.
This comment, however, worried some netizens, tagging him as a religious bigot. They also warned the ex-governor from starting a religious war in the country.
In the same light, taking to his Twitter account on Thursday, Charly Boy slammed El-Rufai and refered to him as “an expired drug”.
“This small micro chip of a man called el-Rufai. No need to go on pretending that you desire the progress of ur country Nigeria that you have so stolen from.
“It is silly to go on pretending that you’re even a true Muslim. You’re an expired drug bad for the unity of this country,” the entertainer said.
