Months after having an emergency medical condition, superstar American actor and TV personality Jamie Foxx has spoken about his health issue. The actor claimed that the health issue had sent him to and from hell.
While filming “Back in Action” in Atlanta in April, the actor was taken by ambulance to the hospital. His sickness specifics, however, were kept secret by all his family and friends which gave rise to numerous health-related conjectures.
The actor addressed the matter for the first time since being released in a video that was shared on his Instagram page on Saturday.
The actor noted in the video, “I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that, man. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show.
“I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through.”
He also gave his family credit for honouring his requests and helping him get better.
Foxx continued by saying that his daughter Corinne Marie and sister Deidra Dixon had helped save his life. He is also able to leave folks the video thanks to them, God, and a lot of amazing medical professionals.
He claimed he was unable to express how wonderful it feels for his family to step in in such a way, and everyone knows they kept it tight, they didn’t let anything out, and they shielded him. He stated he wished everyone could have that in situations like this.
He also dispelled other health-related misconceptions, saying that while he did go through “hell and back” during his rehabilitation, he neither became blind nor became crippled.
After making a full recovery earlier in July, the actor was seen for the first time in public. He enthusiastically waved to onlookers while on a Chicago boat ride.
