Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the safety and security of Kwara State, recently donated brand new motorcycles to the Nigerian Army.
Motorcycles, specifically chosen for their maneuverability and ability to navigate challenging terrains, will be instrumental in the Nigerian Army’s ongoing efforts to combat security threats within Kwara State’s forests. This targeted approach acknowledges the unique challenges posed by these areas, allowing the army to effectively “comb and weed out” any potential dangers.
This strategic initiative equips the Army with the necessary tools to effectively navigate Kwara’s diverse terrain, particularly forested areas, and combat security threats.
Governor AbdulRazaq has consistently prioritized security, evidenced by his previous donations of vehicles to various law enforcement agencies. In his 2022 address while presenting vehicles to the police, he emphasized that, “We are relentlessly supporting our security agencies by providing them with additional equipment to facilitate their crucial work.”
The Nigerian Army’s dedication, coupled with the Kwara State Government’s unwavering support, has demonstrably contributed to the state’s peaceful environment. This collaborative effort has garnered recognition, with both former and present Inspectors General of Police commending Kwara as one of the most peaceful states in the country. Notably, soldiers stationed in Kwara have even played a pivotal role in apprehending criminal elements beyond state borders, extending their reach to ensure regional security.
By prioritizing public safety and actively supporting its security partners, the Kwara State Government establishes itself as a leader in fostering a secure and prosperous environment for its citizens. This commitment to “SaferKwara” ensures a brighter future for all residents, allowing them to thrive in an atmosphere of peace and stability.
