A hotel employee, identified as Yokonta Friday, has allegedly confessed to defrauding Davies Hotel and illegally selling hotel rooms over a five-year period.

In a viral video circulating online, Friday admitted to collecting payments from guests and diverting the funds into his personal bank account. He claimed the proceeds were shared among several individuals allegedly involved in the scheme.

According to him, two other persons identified as Mr. Wale and Mr. Seyi usually received the largest share of the money before the remainder was distributed to other participants.

Friday further alleged that members of the housekeeping department were aware of the arrangement.

When asked whether he had built a house with proceeds from the alleged fraud, he responded in the affirmative.

He also disclosed that between May 2025 and June 2026, a total of N17.8 million passed through his personal account.

During the interrogation, Friday acknowledged his involvement in the alleged theft and admitted that his actions were criminal.
