In a startling incident, the Kano State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old woman, Maimunatu Idris, for allegedly attacking her boyfriend at Durbar Hotel in the Badawa area. The attack reportedly occurred on July 27, 2026, after Idris discovered her boyfriend’s intention to marry another woman.

According to CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the suspect used a sharp knife during the assault, which resulted in the severing of the victim’s manhood. Following the incident, hotel management alerted the police, leading to the prompt arrest of Idris and the recovery of the weapon.

The victim was swiftly taken to Abubakar Imam Urology Hospital for medical treatment, where he is currently receiving care. Ongoing investigations are being conducted by the police. CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori condemned the violent act and urged the public to avoid taking the law into their own hands.
