The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the release of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Teslim Igbalaye, from its custody.

Igbalaye, who was detained alongside five others over alleged vote-buying-related offences, regained his freedom on Thursday afternoon.

The police had alleged that Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), cash, and a voters’ register were recovered during a search of the SSG’s residence.

Confirming his release, a government source simply said, “Our SSG is out, back and solid.”
