President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Vice-President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a trusted and loyal partner in the administration.

In a statement personally signed on Tuesday, Tinubu praised Shettima’s dedication to Nigeria’s progress and unity, while celebrating the milestone with his wife, Nana, children, family and political associates.

The President described Shettima as “not just a trusted ally or a valued colleague, but also a patriot” whose life has been marked by service, commitment and sacrifice.

Tinubu said Shettima demonstrated courage, diligence and compassion during his banking career and tenure as governor of Borno State.

He also commended the Vice-President for his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), support for the administration and commitment to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

As Chairman of the National Economic Council, Tinubu said Shettima had provided purposeful leadership in coordinating economic policies and strengthening collaboration between the federal and state governments.

The President also praised Shettima’s respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation, saying these qualities had contributed to strengthening good governance.

“His loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty have remained invaluable to the administration,” Tinubu said, thanking the Vice-President for his steadfast support and partnership.

Tinubu expressed confidence that, working together with Shettima, the administration would continue to make meaningful progress towards building the Nigeria they envision.
