Dangote Refinery IPO opens September 14

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals is set to launch its initial public offering (IPO) on September 14, 2026, subject to approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The refinery signed its IPO documents with advisers and other stakeholders on Monday at a preliminary signing ceremony ahead of the offer.

Chuka Eseka, Group Managing Director and CEO of Vetiva Capital Management Limited, said the refinery is expected to list its shares on the Nigerian Exchange in November 2026.

Olutade Olaegbe, Managing Director of Investment Banking at Vetiva, said the offer would run for approximately one month and close on October 13.

According to him, the IPO has been structured to meet the disclosure requirements of the Nigerian capital market while offering investors access to the refinery.

Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of Dangote Group, had earlier disclosed that the minimum subscription would be 10 ordinary shares at N5,250 per share.

This puts the minimum subscription at N52,500.
