President Bola Tinubu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi and other presidential candidates seeking to contest the 2027 general election have had their personal particulars published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The publication, carried out on Saturday at INEC offices across the country, is in line with the commission’s revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general election.

According to the details released by INEC, Tinubu is the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with Vice President Kashim Shettima retained as his running mate.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is fielding Atiku Abubakar as its presidential candidate alongside former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as his running mate, while the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) has nominated Peter Obi with former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as his vice-presidential candidate.

INEC also published the particulars of presidential candidates of other political parties, as well as those of candidates contesting Senate and House of Representatives seats.

The electoral umpire said the publication enables members of the public and political stakeholders to inspect the credentials of candidates and file any objections or claims as provided under the Electoral Act.
