Nigeria’s superstars, Burna Boy, Tems, Asake and Arya Starr have been nominated for the 2023 edition of the prestigious Black Entertainment Television (BET), awards.
While Burna Boy who just had a successful sold out concert in the United Kingdom, received four nominations, his counterpart, Tems, got three.

The Grammy award winner would also struggle to win the Video Director of the Year category with Asap Rocky, Dave Free & Kendrick Lamar, Director X etc. This is for his work in the visual interpretation of the monster hit single, ‘Last Last’.
The two other categories the African Giant crooner needs to overcome are the Viewer’s Choice category also for the track, ‘Last Last’; and in the Best International Act category.
For Tems, who is currently enjoying international fame and has also won a Grammy, she was nominated for the Best Female R&B/Pop Artiste, Best Collaboration and Viewers Choice categories.
Meanwhile, Asake and Ayra Starr got one nomination each. While the former hopes to come out tops in the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category, the latter will have to struggle with Nigeria’s ODOGWU ( Burna Boy) in the best international act category.
