Officers from the Nigerian Police Force, B-Division, Oke-Aro Akure, Ondo state revealed that they have arrested a 45-year-old man, Bankole Oginni, claiming to be a football coach for allegedly killing his ex-lover of the same age in his room in the state capital.
Oginni, was nabbed after the victim was found in his room bound and dead. Eye witnesses said he had called the victim from her house for a visit before her line became unreachable.
Confirming the incident on Sunday, the Public Relations Officer of the Ondo state police command, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, in a statement said a lady reported the incident at Oke-Aro Police station which led to the arrest of the suspect.
The PPRO informed that the lifeless body of the deceased woman was found inside Oginni’s room with her legs and hands tied while her body was opened with her intestines removed.
The Police spokesperson further revealed that there were patches on her body that showed signs of hot water burns and that the body of the deceased had been removed and deposited at a morgue.
