Rabiu Kwankwaso, presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 election, says it is wrong to continue debating whether Peter Obi won the presidential poll.

Kwankwaso spoke during an interview when asked if he believed Obi won the 2023 election.

“No, I think that is gone. I think we should look at the future because that debate will not help anybody,” he said.

According to him, Nigerians should shift their attention to the 2027 election rather than continue revisiting the outcome of the 2023 poll.

“Now we have a president in the seat. Now what is important is 2027 election,” Kwankwaso said.

Kwankwaso is expected to run alongside Obi in the 2027 presidential election under the NNPP.

He expressed confidence that the party would win the election.

“I personally believe that, by the grace of God, NNPP will win the election in 2027,” he said.
