Grief hangs heavy in the air of Kwalfada village in the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara state after a father was brutally killed for refusing to allow his daughter marry a terrorist.

According to an eyewitness simply identified as Mallam Rabo, the father decided to give the hands of his daughter instead to one of the men in the village.

“After the marriage was contracted, the bandits invaded the community and killed the father of the girl”, Rabo said.

“They also asked the husband of the girl to divorce her so that their colleague could marry her.

“They threatened to kill the husband if he did not comply with the directive.

“The husband immediately divorced the wife and she was remarried to the bandit who took her to the forest,” Rabo narrated.

He further said that the criminals have been hunting the community for a long time and non of the authority have been able to provide the village with any kind of security.

Currently, he made known, the bandits have already imposed a N4m levy on the village.
