The House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating the controversial Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) has linked 58 bank accounts and 12 agencies and entities to Adeniyi Adeyemi, the council’s self-styled director-general.

The committee disclosed this in its preliminary report released on Wednesday by its chairman, Yusuf Adamu Gagdi.

The panel was constituted following controversy over the inclusion of the PFIPC in the 2026 Appropriation Act.

According to the report, the findings were based on oral testimonies, documentary evidence, financial records and submissions from several government agencies.

The committee said its investigation found no valid Act of the National Assembly or presidential order establishing the PFIPC.

It also said evidence obtained from the State House indicated that President Bola Tinubu did not appoint Adeyemi as the council’s director-general.

The panel further stated that it found no evidence that Femi Gbajabiamila, the President’s Chief of Staff, signed Adeyemi’s purported appointment letter.

The findings form part of the committee’s preliminary report as investigations into the PFIPC controversy continue.
