President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Sunday for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.
According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President’s first destination will be London, United Kingdom.
Tinubu is expected to spend three weeks on the vacation before returning to Nigeria.
The Presidency said the President would resume his duties after the working vacation and join the campaign activities ahead of the January 2027 election.
The statement, issued on August 30, 2026, did not disclose further details about the President’s itinerary during the three-week holiday.
Tinubu’s departure comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general election, with parties and political actors stepping up preparations for the polls.
