Trump’s photo to appear inside new U.S. passports

The United States government has announced plans to release special-edition passports this summer as part of its 250th independence anniversary celebrations.

The commemorative passports will include a large photograph of President Donald Trump on the inside cover, alongside the text of the Declaration of Independence and American flag designs. His signature will also appear in gold. Another page will display the iconic painting of the founding fathers signing the Declaration.

According to a State Department spokesperson, the passports will feature customized artwork and enhanced imagery while maintaining existing high-level security standards. Only a limited number will be issued, though officials have not disclosed exact figures.

The passports are part of a broader “America250” initiative, which includes planned events such as a Grand Prix race on the National Mall and a UFC fight at the White House.

The move follows a series of efforts by the administration to incorporate Trump’s image into official spaces and memorabilia. His portrait has already appeared in several federal buildings, a 2026 national parks pass, and proposed commemorative coins.

Additionally, plans are underway for a 250-foot golden monument, informally dubbed the “Arc de Trump,” which has received preliminary approval despite significant public criticism.
