A 65 years old Danladi Wari, who has been arrested for reportedly defiling a minor, has put the blame on the child.

In his confession to the police, the man claimed that the girl had touched him seductively in order to make him have sexual relations with her.

According to the Adamawa State Police Command, the man was detained on May 23 at his home in Gangaraso, Jada Local Government Area.

The command stated that Wari claimed the young girl followed him into his room and lured him into sleeping with her, disclosed Suleiman Nguroje, the spokesperson for the state police.

The man claimed that the girl wanted N200 from him and that he refused to give it to her, but instead, he sewed some of the clothes she had brought to him for free.

Nguroje claimed that the perpetrator was detained as a result of a police complaint from the girl’s family.

He promised that the man would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
