Guinness approves application to break movie watching record

Judging by recent events, this is the season for making and breaking world records.

Another Nigerian has come out to say he is about to break the record for longest hours spent watching movies.

Ekiti resident, Adeniyi Israel on Monday, via Twitter, revealed that he just got the go-ahead from the Guinness world records after he had officially notified them of his intentions.

He wrote, “Special Thanks to Guinness World Records for granting us this application. Ekiti, Nigeria! Kindly anticipate!!!”

He went ahead to share the letter sent to him from Guinness: “We are pleased to inform you that your application has been accepted under the following title: longest marathon watching films/movies (cinema).”

It is important to note that the current record holder is Canadian born, Suresh Joachim from Canada, who watched various movies continuously for an amazing 121 hours and 18 minutes in 2015.

The Obviously very excited aspiring record breaker said he is gearing up for the event which he is doing everything possible to achieve.
